On July 17th every year National Voice Actor Day is celebrated! This is a time where the internet celebrates their favorite voice actors. This is also a good time for voice actors to use the hashtag #NationalVoiceActorDay to connect with other actors and build their network. Over on X we asked voice actors “Hey voice actors tell us what you love the most about voice acting!”
Voice Actor Responses!

All their responses were great! This is a great way to learn more about the industry and if you would like to start voice acting based on other actors responses:
Angel Cass
Getting to play different characters and making believe in that moment as if I were really that character bringing it to life. I like playing pretend so.

James Hart
What I love most is the freedom of it, I get to become any person, live in any setting or time and do anything the human brain could imagine!
— James Hart | Voice Actor ???? (@JamesHartVA) July 17, 2025
It’s immensely fun, but difficult enough that cultivating real skill takes effort, and I adore seeing my talent develop over time ????????????
Kiran Kumar
Oh boy where do I start? I can make a laundry list, but my top two are
— Kiran Kumar • Voice Actor (@KiranKumarVO) July 17, 2025
1) Getting to meet and work with new, wonderful people on every project
2) The creative freedom I have to express different sides of me that wouldn’t come otherwise come out in everyday life
Scotty Oka
I love acting overall. I always want to be the best actor I can be

Tiger Lizzie
What I love about voice acting is the community! There is so much love and support! People are always sharing leads and tips and encouragements. It feels nice to be a part of a community like that.

Michael Aharon
I love getting to delve into a role; to become someone else, with their own passions and fears and identity. It’s really cathartic
— Michael Aharon (@Garanseho) July 18, 2025
Ian Ionescu
Just being able to express myself in ways that I couldn’t normally and to just let loose and have fun bringing these characters to life!
— Ian Ionescu (@IanIonescuVO) July 17, 2025
Seiryuu
What I love is I get to play characters who have very different lives and experiences from mine, I can become whoever I want, and to me the satisfaction of knowing that you contributed to someone's storytelling!
— ????Seiryuu | Find me on the Blue! (@LFZdude) July 17, 2025
Nate Washko
I wanna be able to inspire people with my characters the way I’ve been inspired by all the great performances that led me here.

Yanni
I’m a huge fan of anime, video games and all kinds of media so I love being able to bring characters to life!! It makes me so excited knowing I have characters with my own voice!! And overall it’s just so fun to act out different types of characters/people!!
— Yanni ☆ (@pommyann) July 18, 2025
SarnoVO
I love the ability to tell stories – having grown up with Pixar, Disney, Veggietales, Adventures in Odyssey, heck, even the Geico gecko or Taco Bell chihuahua… There were real people behind those animated or audio projects, and I realized I wanted to be a part of that! ????
— SarnoVO ????️ (@sarno_vo) July 18, 2025
Jennifer Alyx
I love that I can be anyone or anything as a voice actor. I can be young, old, skinny, fat, human, alien, or even a noncorporal being. I have a huge imagination, and with voice acting, my physical limitations have no say in what I can be in the voice world.

Julie Kitsulie
Talking to myself in my different OC voices lol
— ☁️ Julie ???? Kitsulie ???? (@Kitsulie) July 18, 2025
GrindorFR
I love the idea of pushing my vocals to a limit to capture emotion, to bring life into something and be able to look back on it. Learn from it.
— GrindorFR (@GRINDOR_FR) July 17, 2025
It's really fun to do, even if I myself am my harshest critic..
