What inspired you to become a voice actor?
I grew up on cartoons, films and video games as a kid, in fact I was just straight up addicted and being absorbed in the worlds of these characters always made me feel so happy. I actually used to get made fun of for watching cartoons when I was a kid. I remember being torn apart for liking Ben 10 when I was 7 instead of watching iCarly like everyone else (though I did watch iCarly a little later and it did slap). And when I found out that these characters are voiced by real human people that just struck the idea in my mind that I want to do this and I’m gonna do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams.
What are your goals as a creative?

My main goal as a creative is to work on cool things with cool and genuine people, simple as that really. I’m not a fan of fakeness and when you’re REALLY putting your all into the work and having fun – it’s the best feeling in the world. I’ve made a lot of friends in this industry and it’s so cool getting to talk to people with similar interests and being able to lift each other up with every win and just simply being there is more than worth it.
As an actor and casting director, what advice can you give to new folks in the industry?
My main 4 are these. 1: Be kind but do NOT be a pushover – as a recovering people pleaser I know all too well about this but never compromise your morals and allow yourself to be disrespected by anyone. 2: Find your crowd – It’s a hard journey when you’re all alone and having a small group of friends or even a support group makes all the difference. That being said, DO NOT make friends for the sole purpose of making yourself more hireable in this industry, just make friends, simple as that. People can tell when you’re being disingenuous and as someone who has had the unfortunate experience of being used and had their kindness being taken advantage of in this industry in the past – it’s never a good feeling and it hurts a lot. Finding your crowd can sometimes take a while depending on the person but as long as you’re able to be yourself with your people and you lift each other up and also communicate when potential conflicts arrive and resolve them/talk it through you will be fine. No friendship is perfect but give grace to one another and be kind, not everyone’s journey is the same but everyone has had struggles in their life and we don’t know the whole story so being there for your friends is very important. Communication is key my dudes, always. Be prepared to accept the fact that sometimes the people you find might not always be the right people for you, as someone who’s experienced being in toxic and negative spaces with the most hurtful people I’ve ever met, the negativity will rub off on you as it will be a norm for a period of time and it’s hard to get out of before it’s too late. Thankfully I’m fine nowadays and have been able to get out of the negative space and am happily in positive spaces of groups and friends who are the nicest people in the world that genuinely want the best for everyone. It’s been fine for over a couple months now but good lord was the negativity hard to get out from when you’re in there for a long time. There’s a saying that goes “The 10 people you surround yourself with says a lot about your character” so don’t be surrounded by assholes who will constantly bring you down. 3: Have fun but be nice to yourself when it’s not fun – The journey you go will have a lot of ups and downs and trust me, doing this for 7 years can be chock full of them but the constant thing for me is the fun I have with doing what I do but I also know what it’s like when it gets too much and when it does, there’s no shame in giving yourself breaks and coming back. The work isn’t going anywhere and neither are you. And 4: Do not compare your journey to another person’s. No one’s journey is ever the same. It’s a marathon, not a sprint – let yourself learn and grow at your own pace. I know it’s easier said than done but trust me, the MOMENT you compare yourself to another person, you’re automatically putting down your own journey. Be happy for others and be sure to look back and be happy with your progress – no matter how big or small it is in your eyes.
Biggest success story?
Biggest success story is honestly being able to form The Vojo Dojo Casa House. I started casting way back in 2022 for an Animated Short Film and in 2023 I was given more opportunities and I was casting every so often. I enjoy the casting process so much, it makes me really happy getting to work with talent on cool stuff together! So for over a year and a half (closer to 2 years) later I finally was able to fully spread my casting wings and fly and be able to be given the privilege to work on a myriad of projects with many amazing animators, video game developers both Indie, Non-Union and Union and even dubbing companies. Finding the team to help me organize and run things took a while but I’m so happy that I got my perfect team in the end, we work really well with each other and we all have so much fun together! We were all very blown away with the 1000s of submissions that we got for the roster, curating all of them definitely took some time but I’m super grateful to everyone. I can’t wait to share all the cool stuff we got to work on this year and the cool stuff and opportunities for next year and beyond. 2025 is looking gooooood
What is the best part of being a voice actor and creative?

The best part is being able to be apart of things that are bigger than me and being able to be apart of many amazing stories, having a part in telling those stories too. The fact that I can do this with my friends is a blessing and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. And also proving the haters and doubters WRONG but that’s just the petty side of me talking lol
