Roombattle: The Hilarious Vacuum Battle Game

We had the pleasure of chatting with the creators of Roombattle a hilarious game all about vacuum cleaners! This game caught our eye on social media and we were thrilled to be able to chat with the developers. Learn more HERE!

1. What inspired your game?

We saw vacuum fighting on VINE years ago and thought it was hilarious. We decided to bring that chaotic energy into a game.

2. Tell us a little bit about Roombattle

In Roombattle, destroy your friendships with cute robot vacuum cleaners by popping your opponents’ balloons with sharp weapons. Be the last vacuum standing and claim victory in crazy battles and minigames for up to 6 players.

3. The big question. Why vacuums?

We think it’s the funniest appliance in the home. Our philosophy is to take everyday objects and turn them into pure fun—and vacuums are absolutely one of those things.

4. What advice would you give to new developers?

The most important thing is knowing who you’re making the game for. Understand who your players are and why they’ll want to play it.

5. How would you pitch your game in 3-5 words?

Multiplayer adorable chaos with vacuums

6. What inspired the art style?

Moving Out, Overcooked, and Boomerang Fu. We believe this stylized aesthetic works really well for party games.
