Alright, let me get personal here. I was a late bloomer to a lot of things in life — interests, passions, and yes, even making my own content. And guess what? That’s perfectly fine. There’s no rulebook that says you have to hit all your milestones by 25 or quit making things you love because you hit 30. If there is, someone needs to throw it in a fire immediately.
The internet loves to yell “you’re too old for this!” at people over 30 who are just out here creating, vibing, and doing their thing. Why? What’s the point of that? Content doesn’t have a “Hey, you’re old now, stop” mark on it. There’s no timer that goes off when you hit a certain age, telling you to pack up your ideas and creativity and go home.
You want to make gaming videos at 35? Start a cosplay TikTok at 50? Launch a podcast about your favorite shows at 80? DO IT. If you’re passionate about it, there’s no age limit. In fact, the internet needs that. It needs voices and perspectives from different ages. It keeps things fresh, real, and relatable for a wider audience.
This constant trend of attacking people for doing what they love after 30 is beyond ridiculous. The internet isn’t just for people who are fresh out of high school. We all bring something unique to the table. More creators of all ages means more variety, more stories, and more people who can find someone they connect with.
Gatekeeping creativity helps no one. So if you’ve been holding back because of some imaginary “expiration date,” forget it. Your ideas, your passions, and your voice are valid — no matter your age. You’re not “too old” for anything. You’re just getting started, and that’s something worth celebrating.
