If you’re in New Jersey and want a cute weekend stop, the Build-A-Bear x Hello Kitty & Friends Workshop is now open at American Dream in East Rutherford.
You’ll find the shop at 1 American Way, Space B-120, East Rutherford, NJ 07073.
American Dream has also shared that it’s in Court B, Level 1, which makes it easier to track down once you’re inside.
What it’s like inside
This location is built around Sanrio, with exclusive plush and designs and the full Build-A-Bear “make it yourself” experience, pick your character, stuff your plush, and do the Heart Ceremony moment before you head out.
You can choose from favorites like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and more, then dress them up with clothes, sounds, scents, and accessories.
If you’re making one as a gift, there’s an option to record a voice message and place it inside the plush (the store team helps you do it). It’s a simple way to turn a plush into a personal keepsake.
Birthday plans
They also host birthday parties, including a plush for each guest, a Party Leader (with 5+ guests), a Heart Ceremony, photo props, games, and printable invites/thank-you notes.
