Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remaster To Have Local and Online Co-Op

The Final Fantasy franchise has been going on a nostalgic trip with their latest games, and they are keeping that trend going with their upcoming title Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. With this new iteration of an old classic, fans of the original will get to play the game with updated graphics while playing with the same play style. This latest piece of news should get fans excited for what’s in store for the upcoming remastered version.

A new update was recently released regarding the upcoming game that suggests that players will now be able to play local or online together, something that never was available in the original. The news was posted on the Playstation website under the ”Key Features” section that notes this crucial update that should excite old and new players alike. With the remastered version coming out for both the Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, it’ll be interesting to see the co-op feature being utilized by players.

There has been a lot of press regarding the multiplayer aspect of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition since it’s announcement back in 2018. This option was a favorite feature in the original version for the GameCube. When the game came out in 2003, it allowed up to four players to play locally using link cables and their Game Boy Advance. It was highly regarded as one of the best spin-offs that the Final Fantasy franchise has conjured, so a remastered version will be grand return for this beloved series.

The latest update comes months after a delay in development pushed the release date for the game, moving it from January to August 27. The delay was given to further polish the game as it prepares to also release on mobile devices as well. However, this confirmation for local and online co-op will be a great addition to the remastered version. Even though it still doesn’t use the same style as the link cables with the original, it’ll be a chance for players to enjoy the game together both locally and online.
