Hello, MinaRose2023 with another Disability Awareness in Anime. Today we are talking about Your Lie in April and Angel Beats. Both anime have a character that is physically ill and sadly passed away. While this is hard to see is important to note both characters had happiness inside them despite their deathly illness.
Yui from Angel Beats and Kaori Miyazono both are severely ill. They both attend the hospital one is bedridden and dies going to the afterlife, while the other despite her illness continues to play her violin proudly and passionately including inspiring Koise Anima to play the piano again.
These two girls have life inside them. Kaori with her passion for music and Yui playing softball and being a genuinely happy girl. While we dont know exactly why either has we know that illness took these characters life. This reminds me of children that have leukemia or any other sort of illness that takes them too soon. Definitely a hard subject when it comes to disability but one that has to be talked about nonetheless .
