We had the pleasure of chatting with Coffee Bun Café, an artist known for creating irresistibly cute designs that bring joy to every fan of cozy, feel-good art. From heartwarming stickers to delightful shop items, Coffee Bun Café’s work celebrates all things sweet, soft, and full of charm. Whether you love collecting adorable stationery or discovering new indie creators, this is one artist you’ll want to keep on your radar!
1. What inspires your work?

I’ve been inspired by kawaii characters since i was young! I became obsessed with sanrio and san-x as a kid in the 90s, and still love the adorable characters. They’re a great reminder that you can have a super simple design but still have a lot of impact. In the mid 2000s, i discovered tokidoki and I fell in love with all of the characters and Simone’s art. I would say his work is definitely my biggest inspiration and I’m dying to meet him some day. And of course, cant forget my bunny children, pumpkin and figgy…the reason I’m obsessed with bunnies/bunny designs!
2. Tell us about your Etsy shop!

Currently my etsy shop is filled with stickers, stickers, and stickers! Hah. I occasionally have seasonal themed drinkware (am hoping to have some ghostie designs by september!) and am working on some new items currently. One of my biggest hobbies is reading, so I’m working on bookmarks to go with my reading themed stickers. I’ve also been loving punch needle and am working on some pieces to put in the shop! Art unfortunately isn’t my full time job, so I don’t get to update my shop as much as I’d like, but I’m working on improving that in as many different ways as I can.
3. What advice would you give to new artists?
There are so many free resources out there; use them! You can learn so much from youtube and communities on reddit, whether its a specific procreate effect/technique, how to get your ideas from your brain to paper, ways to improve your work flow, etc. There are so many talented artists out there who are kind enough to share their knowledge for no cost, so you can learn without breaking the bank. You can even find help and inspiration to develop your own style while you learn!
4. Do you have a personal favorite piece?

I think my favorite has to be my pastel rainbow bunny cone! It has everything I love: pastel colors, dessert, and a bunny hehe. It makes me so happy that I had a wonderful, amazing tattoo artist that goes by @u_oooops on IG adapt it to her style and tattoo it for me.
5. What is your goal for your art ?

Honestly…I just want my art to make people happy! Its the most amazing feeling when someone sees something you’ve made and tells you they love it or think it’s cute. If I can some day scale my shop to create art full time, that would be great. But if not, I’m glad to spread the cuteness a teeny bit at a time 🙂
6. Where can folks support you?
You can find me on etsy, and Instagram! My shop name is coffee bun cafe, and my IG handle is @coffeebuncafe as well. I promise I’m trying to update my IG more, as I’ll have some new products coming soon that I want to share, so please check it out and follow along!
