Synopsis
Set along Jersey Shore inspired boardwalks and beaches, Boardwalk Dad Detox mixes sharp comedy with grounded family stakes. The film follows Jackie, a conspiracy talk-show host whose drinking derails his life, and Wagner, his son, who’s holding the family together while serving as mayor and co-hosting the show. Stylized sequences include psychedelics, acid trips, and out-of-body experiences that reflect unstable states of mind and heighten the story’s darkly comic tone.
