Before Closure Demo Now Available on Steam; New Gameplay Trailer Released

Kickstarter Campaign Live to Fund Epilogue “Companion Mode” and Final Polish

TwentySix Interactive and publisher Dopoco Games today announced that the playable demo for Before Closure is now available on Steam, alongside the release of a second gameplay trailer showcasing the game’s tone, storytelling approach, and updated gameplay moments.

Before Closure is a gentle narrative experience about memory, change, and the feelings that linger when life moves on—inviting players to sit with what’s left unsaid, and what comes next.

Demo Out Now + New Gameplay Trailer (2nd Trailer)

Players can download and play the Steam demo today, available as part of the game’s ongoing public debut on Steam. A new gameplay trailer is also live, offering a clearer look at how Before Closure plays and what players can expect from the full experience.

Kickstarter Live: Funding the “Epilogue / Companion Mode” + Final Polish

Alongside the demo release, the team’s Kickstarter campaign is now live to support the final stage of development—specifically a new “Epilogue” Companion Mode (working title) and final rounds of polish.

The team has also revealed concept art for the mode, designed to reflect the protagonist Murph’s life after the main story ends—a quieter continuation that extends the game beyond closure into a new kind of presence.

Planned features for the Companion Mode include:

  • Day/night lighting and shifting atmosphere
  • Multiple white-noise ambience modes
  • A “stay-a-while” experience intended to help the game become a calmer space players can return to—offering a new beginning beyond closure and the possibility of a longer-lasting companionship

Further details and development updates will be shared throughout the campaign.
