We Interviewed Simmer Fernando

We had the pleasure of intervieweing the amazing simmer Fernando all about their work!

1. How long have you been playing The Sims?

I’ve been playing The Sims since the very first installment. I started it around 2005 and later moved onto The Sims 2. In the end I really got into The Sims 3 which to this day is my favorite out of the franchise.

2. What is your favorite part about The Sims?

Hands down? Build mode and the worlds. I love new environments to explore and using them as a canvas for the stories of my Sims. I’ve always been heavily intrigued by Create A World for The Sims 3.

3. What advice would you give someone who wanted to do what you do?

Start small. There aren’t many if any tutorials out there on how to tackle such a big project. It can be overwhelming planning a big world in the first place especially without knowing how worlds work in The Sims 4.

4. What inspires your work?

Definitely the community! There’s so many simmers out there from around the globe that play The Sims and contribute to this franchise with their creative input. In addition to that I feel like The Sims 4 has always been a little bit lacking in the way that there’s not enough representation when it comes to worlds in The Sims 4. All of that together inspired my to create the first world mods for The Sims 4 and since then I’ve released 5 world modifications.

5. Tell us about this:

These are my latest world projects from The Sims 4 that I’ve created until recently. The Sims 4 Breeze of Greece was my latest release and explores a world inspired by Simtorini. Romance in France explored Paris, Trip To Egypt explored Egypt and Asian Adventures explored Japan in particular.

6.Plans for 2022?

ight now I’m working on releasing The Sims 4 Chill In Brazil that’s going to release in early spring. The Brazilian world has been highly requested as there are A LOT of Brazilian simmers waiting for The Sims 4 to finally bring some Brazilian content to the game. I am here to change that. In addition to that I have a few other projects shortlisted but those are secret for now.
