We Interviewed Artist Tina Terranova

We had the pleasure of chatting with artist Tina Terranova! Be sure to support their work HERE!

1. Tell us about your work!

Oh where to begin? Most of my illustrative works involve fantasy, animals, or worldbuilding of some kind. I’m obsessed with making new worlds and concepting creatures, landscapes, and illustrating fantasy based content. I view myself more as a storyteller than an illustrator, my skill as an artist is the tool I use express myself.

2. Goals for 2023?

My goals for 2023 are to complete Chapter 3 of Starfish Lovers, have a decently sized buffer so I can be sure to care for myself, Self publish the first issue of Starfishlovers, and maybe take a vacation XD

3. Advice for new artists?

Don’t let others influence your desires, if someone tells you you can’t do something its their problem not yours. You know your needs more than anyone else and the words of others are just that, words. It’s how you react to them that gives them power. Lastly Strive to be your biggest fan and most of all focus on taking care of yourself first! Stretch stretch stretch, and practice as much as you can!

4. What are you currently working on?

My current project is known as Starfish Lovers, it’s an inclusive story that focus’ on religious trauma and mental health. Its a very personal project that is close to my background as a person and the situations I’ve had to confront for my own healing process. My hope is that this can be a story that someone can relate to. That it can bring up positive discussions or personal realizations on religious trauma, mental health, and the LGBTQ experience.

5. What piece are you most proud of?

I have quote a few but I think the one that I’m still relatively proud of to this day is the very first illustration I did when I was concepting the world of Starfish Lovers.

6. Where can folks support your work?

You can find ALL of my links through my linktree! https://linktr.ee/bowertone Obviously Patreon is the best place to support me as an Artist which you can easily find that link and many others through the link above. However not everyone is financially stable during these times so a simple like, comment, or follow on any of my social media accounts or my comic is a wonderful way to support me!
