We had the pleasure of sitting down with Meg Miller, a Freelance Animator and Story Artist, diving into their work, inspirations, and goals for their artistic journey.
1. Tell us about your work? What is it like being an animator and storyboard artist?
At the moment I still have no industry experience but in my own practice I love bringing stories to life. Taking words from a script and giving them a voice in the form of a drawing is what keeps me going. I’ve always been an active day dreamer and animation has always been the best way for me to bring my daydreams to the screen.
2. What inspires you to stay creative?
Looking at other artist’s work and hearing their stories. As well as my current D&D campaign. Being surrounded by other creatives fuels my own ideas and storytelling.
3. Goals for 2024?
Currently I’m in grad school studying animation. (Got my BFA in Film for undergrad) I’ll be starting my thesis project in the summer of 2024.
4.What is your biggest success story?
I think I still haven’t reached there yet. I only recently got accepted into my first film festival so we’ll see where things go
5. Where can folks support your work?

@troubled_cryst on Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube. Also, any commissions I receive help me financially.

Used to follower them on musical.ly. was always a big inspiration. Crazy that they’ve grown so much. I’m so proud. I become so happy whenever I see how they’re doing. The path to a success is hard and tiring but I’ve watched for a while and I’m so happy to see their progress.
