We Interviewed Game Dev CornflowerBlue

We interviewed game dev CornflowerBlue all about their work!

1. Tell us about your work?

Hi! I go by CornflowerBlue online. I’m a game developer with a background in programming and design. I work on a mixture of short-term and long-term game projects including game jams. My current project is called Lightspeed Lina, it’s a 3D collectathon platformer with speedy, slope-based physics mechanics.

2. Goals for 2023?

My main goal for 2023 is to get the biggest pieces of the first world entirely up and running so I have a polished, mostly complete version of the game loop.

3. What advice would you give to new Game Devs?

If you’re looking to learn game development, I’d say improving is about constantly making small stuff and pushing a little past your comfort zone each time. Be patient with yourself and remember to savor those small victories you get along the way, you’ve earned them!

4. What has been your proudest moment as a game dev?

My proudest moments as a game dev usually come after I finish a game jam. It’s pretty amazing what you can finish in just a couple of days or a week! Not to mention, doing them teaches the skill of actually finishing things which is a very nice skill to have even outside of the context of games.

5. Where can folks support your work?

Still setting some things up, but for now the best way to support my work is to check me out on Twitter!
