The Sims Feature: @velvetscout

We interviewed @velvetscout all about their work for The Sims!

1. How long have you been playing The Sims?

I’ve been playing the Sims since I was 6 years old! For 17 years now!

2. Which game is your favorite?

(If we’re talking about games aside from the whole Sims series, I’m currently obsessed with Genshin Impact right now!) But if this is about which Sims game I like the most, it has to be the Sims 3! I just love the open world!

3. What are some of your best creations and memories from gameplay?

I once created a whole university campus in Newcrest because I was so inspired by the Sims 3 university buildings! I only worked on the exteriors, though and never posted them…As for cc, I’m really proud of my Rosewater face overlay. I love how it turned out! For gameplay memories, I know I played with Don Lothario a lot for some reason Even back in the Sims 2, I would play his household over and over. His whole thing is just hilarious.

4. What would you tell someone who wants to do what you do?

ust keep creating new stuff and don’t be afraid to keep sharing them! I would have created so much more cc if I wasn’t anxious about releasing them.

5. What are your plans for 2022?

I’m a uni student, so I don’t think I have any solid plans in terms of the Sims? I do want to start making Youtube videos though! Not about gameplay or builds, but probably CAS videos! I want to keep making face overlays too because it’s also something I love doing for my own game, and it’s just really fun in general! I also love creating art and bullet journaling! I used to make journaling videos on youtube, but I really want to go back to doing that.

6. Where can people support your work?

Honestly, I’m already so grateful for people downloading or giving my cc a like/reblog on Tumblr (lamatisse) and Twitter! I don’t do early access or have any kind of benefits, but I also post them on my Patreon! Some have already showed so much support, and I truly appreciate it I’m trying to create art as well on my @gianneart account on twitter, but that’s a work in progress
