We had the pleasure of chatting with Moka Mame about being a Vtuber!
1. What inspired you to become a Vtuber?
Watching people like Hanako (@Ichiigoma), and Foxplushy made me really want to try vtubing! They’re so enjoyable to watch and I’ve loved their content.
2. Tell us about your model!
I’ve always loved dragons, I’m an avid DnD player and one of my favorite races to play is dragonborn even! But, originally I had drawn Moka up as a cat girl. That’s why she’s got some catlike elements in her face. My hair is actually based off of the hairstyle I use in an MMO I used to play, it was such a huge part of my life that I felt that I need to include it somewhere. My mama (@crymsie on twitter!) is very talented and blended all my ideas together, all while keeping my original doodle in mind.
3.What is the best part about being a Vtuber?
The community! I’ve made so many great friends through vtubing. So many people in this community are so, so supportive. I could not have gotten to the point I’m at today without them!
4. What would you tell someone who wants to become a Vtuber? Any advice?
Please don’t compare yourself to others! It’s a really bad habit that I have started to fall into. It’s really bad for your mental health. Just keep working towards your goals and you will get there!
5. Goals for this year?
-Improve my art enough to draw fun things for my friends
-Become better at having a consistent stream schedule!
-Get a stream pet based off my bird, since she makes her appearance on most of my streams
-Figure out how to make content for tiktok
