1. Tell us what inspired you to be a voice actor?

Hmmm… Settle in, friends. It’s story time.

I started theater at Applause in Houston at the age of 5 and it’s the only thing I ever really stuck with. Acting became a passion I’ve now done for most of my life. Before I started voice acting, I honestly didn’t even know it was a world I could get into. I figured it was reserved for the elites- the super stars. It felt completely out of reach. It wasn’t until I told my brilliant voice coach, Julia Laskowski, wife of voice actor Mark ‘X’ Laskowski, that I loved anime that she asked if I’d ever be interested in voicing in it. I thought she was messing with me. She was not. Shortly thereafter I received an email asking me to audition and the rest is history. So, “inspired” to become a voice actor isn’t exactly applicable unless you combine a love of acting and anime.

However, I am inspired to grow in this field by my love of acting and anime. I’m inspired by those who came before me and will come after me. I aspire to be as good as the best and to help set an example for those who want to be in this field. I want to learn. I want to grow. I want to act. I want to combine the things I love and share that love with the world. I want to contribute to something greater than me. That is what inspires me.

2. What has been your favorite cosplay so far you’ve done?

Arcade Miss Fortune from League of Legends- hands down. No contest. Anyone who knows me will be surprised by that. She’s colorful and wears a lot of pink. Of which I do not align to say the least haha. Perhaps that’s why I enjoyed it so much. Cosplay is like acting in a sense; We step into another skin for a bit. Wear their shoes. It’s fun.

Crafting that required a ton of new materials I’d never used. It was a challenge and I love a good challenge.

3. Advice to new actors?

Growth. Is not. Linear. You may get nothing for YEARS and suddenly blow up. You may get roles at first and then fall off for a bit. Stick with it. Do it for the art- not the money or fame. Anything done for shallow reasons does not hold up in the long run anyhow.

4. If you had to pick one character you voiced to hang out with who would it be and why?

Harley Quinn. It’s no secret I love that character and have since I was a kid watching The Animated Series. Shes quick witted and funny. She’s a trouble maker, a total loonie, she puts the “hot” in “psychotic”, but she seems like she’d be a blast for a night on the town.

5. Thoughts on our platform All Ages of Geek? What can we do better to support indie creators?

My friend tagged y’all and I took a peek at your work. You don’t seem to discriminate and I think that’s great. You also don’t seem to play favorites with who you interview and what content you share. Us small timers could benefit from less favoritism

Oh, shoot. Im not the person to ask. I, as well as many other creators, are just happy to have a platform to talk about what we love. Thank you for that.

I’m not sure who your market is beyond “indie creators.” I see the page sharing memes from all walks of life. Maybe honing in on your target audience could help y’all and, in turn, the creators you’re supporting.

6. What has been your favorite part about being a streamer?

Currently on hiatus but I plan to make a return for occasional streams soon!

I’m going to give the typical response and say the best parts are friends I’ve made and my community. I fostered a community of people I could connect with by just being myself which is wild. Goes to show, no matter unlikable you may think you are, someone out there will like you. You’re probably just crazy. (Kidding)

I’ve made some friends I actually consider IRL friends.  I wouldn’t replace them for the world.

7. Goals for 2025?

Grow. In all aspect. I just want to grow. Always. I know that will require effort, struggle, potentially even strife. I don’t care. You don’t reach a summit without all that. I’m ready.

8. Where can folks support your work?

I’m MiniMonstress on all platforms including Reddit!

You can also support my friends who I post on my pages regularly. They’re equally if not more deserving than I.
