We met with Rob Scallon at PAX East 2024 to talk about his exciting new game, “Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson.” In this game, you play as Rob, a musician on a mission to bring harmony back to a world where music is in danger.

The villain, Rick Riffson, runs the evil Super Metal Records. He’s using a Battle of the Bands contest to trap the best musicians with tricky contracts that bind their souls. It’s up to Rob and his rock-loving buddy to stop him and save the music.

In “Fretless,” you’ll explore a world filled with music-themed challenges, including monster-instrument hybrids and legendary musical animals, all designed in colorful pixel art. Collect powerful riffs, use your guitar for crescendo attacks, and battle your way through epic music fights.
