The Sims 4: Lovestruck – The Good, the Bad, and the Glitchy

Honest Thoughts on The Sims 4: Lovestruck

Hey Simmers! We’ve got the inside scoop on The Sims 4: Lovestruck, and while there’s plenty to love, we’ve got to keep it real. Here’s our breakdown of what works and what doesn’t in this new expansion pack.

What We Love

  • New Clothes: The fashion game is on point! The new outfits bring a stylish flair that we can’t get enough of. Your Sims will be looking fabulous on their romantic escapades.
  • Cute Kissing Animations: The kissing animations are super cute and add a touch of sweetness to your Sims’ love stories. Though, let’s be honest, some modders have outdone even this.
  • Furniture: The new furniture is a standout. From chic couches to adorable décor, it really helps set the mood for love.
  • Dating App: We’re all about the new dating app. It’s a fun and fresh way to get your Sims out there meeting potential partners. Swipe right on this feature for sure!

Where It Falls Short

  • Graphics Glitches: Unfortunately, the graphics are glitchy, which can be a bit of a bummer when you’re trying to enjoy the game. It’s getting old considering EA makes A LOT of money and somehow their new packs ALWAYS have weird glitches.
  • Bed Animation: The heart bed animation is a letdown compared to previous games. We were expecting more pizzazz.
  • Area Design: The new area feels a bit recycled. It lacks unique interactions and doesn’t bring anything particularly new to the table. The game trailer made it seem much more interactive.
  • Laggy Gameplay: The lag is real. It can really take you out of the moment when your game starts to stutter.
  • Cuddling Animation: Cuddling is only available under the covers, unlike previous games where it was more versatile.

Final Thoughts

The Sims 4: Lovestruck has some delightful new additions that we’re excited about, like the stylish new clothes, adorable furniture, and the super cute dating app. However, it’s not without its issues. The graphics glitches, laggy gameplay, and some underwhelming animations hold it back from being truly great. Definetly wait till it’s 50% off to purchase…Unless your sims really need a date.

Overall, if you’re a die-hard Sims fan, there’s still plenty to enjoy in Lovestruck. Just be prepared for a few bumps along the way. What are your thoughts on the new expansion pack? Let us know in the comments!
