Tell us about the Kickstarter?

Not to be confused with our past Kickstarter for Otherworlds in 2021, this one is our FIRST TIME where backers can acquire physical copies of our brand new core rulebook! 

Not only that, we have additional offerings, such as Otherworlds Anthos, which is a setting book that takes place on the world of Anthos, which introduces many Greek inspired races such as satyrs, sirens, and phases, among many new classes, themes, and lore! 

What inspired your work?

For Otherworlds – inspiration is a lot more varied than my other work. 

You can see inspiration in virtually every type of sci-fi and fantasy that I’ve loved as a child, all the way to being an adult. 

I actually made a handy graphic to show off some of my biggest inspirations for Otherworlds. 

If I were being business savvy, I would have made sure these inspirations fit a bit neater into a demographic of gamers, but hey, it’s a pure representation of me and my tastes. Otherworlds was no joke, created from games I played as a kid and made into a TTRPG as a teenager, so it’s really the most “me” there is when it comes to a game. 

Why should everyone support your Kickstarter?

So, I’m going to be a bit controversial here and say that not everyone should support this Kickstarter. 

For example, I don’t believe Otherworlds is for everyone, if you want…

1. Hyper realism
2. Hate the “rule of cool”
3. Want traditional medieval fantasy
4. Hate games that are tongue in cheek

Then Otherworlds isn’t for you.

However, if you like…

1. Style
2. Tactical combat with rule of cool features 
3. Future fantasy setting and multi-genre blending
4. Love games that blend comedy and serious tones 

Then Otherworlds is right up your alley and you should definitely support it! 

What benefits do supporters get for backing your project?

Backers can get Otherworlds and many of our other games at a special discount off retail price! And while we had a special “Day One” offer, our normal tiers are still discounted, so now is the best time to get Otherworlds or our other games (which you can check out as an add-on from the $1 Support Tier). 

Such add-ons include our other TTRPGs, card games, and Beta access to Banishment and Super Breaker, which both use the Otherworlds Engine but are largely inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! And My hero Academia respectively.

Goals for Kickstarter

Our goal with this Kickstarter is to have it run smoothly, making it as seamless and easy for everyone as possible. We’ve put a lot of work into this game and are grateful for any amount of support we get. The more we get, the more options expand and the more we can put into future Otherworlds projects, such as additional setting books, starter sets to get people into the game, updated guides, and more!
