We Interviewed The Game Developers of Evasive Maneuvers

We had the pleasure of chatting with the game developers of Evasive Maneuvers. You can learn more about the game by checking out all the links at the end of this interview!

1. What inspires your work?

n general, our goal as game developers is to make something that people will enjoy. Whether they are playing or watching the game, we want people to to smile when engaging with our games. We come up with ideas for projects that are all wildly different one from the other, which makes things interesting: we never know what our next big idea will be! Many times, we get inspiration from every day life, or we get inspired through different game jam events. Either we continue to work on our jam game into a fully released game, or that jam game includes some new techniques or features that inspire a whole new project. So many possibilities!

2. Tell us about your game? What can fans expect?

Evasive Maneuvers is a multiplayer spaceship arena game where players go head to head in two teams; runners and hunters. Using different abilities and flight tactics, areal combat gets pretty intense and hectic. We have plans for future updates that would include additional patterns for the customization system as well as possibly additional content? (hint hint)

3. What are your goals for 2023?

For the remainder of 2022 and 2023, we will continue to support and update Evasive Maneuvers. We also have a variety of ideas for future games we have been wanting to make, so we’re excited about exploring those.

4. What advice would you give to someone who wants to do what you do?

For someone who’s just getting into game development or has been interested, I would say to just jump right into it. Doesn’t matter how big or small your idea may be, make something. You’ll learn and grow as a developer and you’ll probably end up meeting some pretty cool people along the way. The indie gamedev scene is very kind and open.

5. Where and how can people support your work?

People can support our work by playing our games and following our social media accounts. That’s

@SkyPyre on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube. They can also join our Discord server that’s linked on our website (http://skypyre.com).
