We Interviewed Sims Youtuber & Streamer Asimsa

We had the pleasure of interviewing Asimsa! A sims Youtuber and Streamer who has amazing builds. If you are interested in her work check out her links HERE!

1. What started your Sims journey?

My mom has been playing The Sims since the first Sims game so growing up I watched her play it all the time and when I got older I also started playing it. At first I only did game play but with time I moved to doing more builds and I’ve never looked back.

2. Which Sims game is your favorite?

I have only ever played The Sims 3 and 4 (that I remember) and since I’m more of a builder I would have to say The Sims 4 although The Sims 3 holds a lot of nostalgia for me since that was the first one I played and gameplay wise it’s definitely better.

3. What advice would you give to new Simmers?

Play the game in the way you want to. When I first started playing the game I wanted to do everything at once – game play, cas, building, everything, and when I discovered Sims YouTube I also wanted to be as good as the people I watched and do what they did, but I soon discovered that that took the fun away from the game for me. So do everything you want to do but don’t do it just to do it and because everyone else is doing it, do what you think is fun. I mean if you think it’s fun living out your dream life do that, if you want to build impossible houses do that, if you want to kill your sims in the funniest ways possible do that. Do what you want, it’s your game and no one can say you are doing it wrong.

4. Tell us about your streams?

I’m fairly new to streaming but I already love it and wished I’d started sooner. Again I am more of a builder so on most streams I build, and building with a live audience is really fun because you can get their input into the house and do things you never would have thought of on your own. Once a week I also do game play in an attempt to rediscover my love for gameplay and cas. The streams often end up being a little bit crazy but are still pretty chill with things like my long lost friend and I reconnecting (that actually happened) and me and the chat talking about our unpopular food opinions and more.

5. What inspired your work?

I have been playing this game for 12 or 13 years now and since I discovered Sims YouTube back in 2014 I have gotten more and more inspired everyday by the amazing people in this community. Lilsimsie and MissSimReno’s channels were my two main inspirations for starting my own since I absolutely love their content and I’ve been a big fan of theirs for a long time. When it comes to streaming it was mainly Lilsimsie and Cattsiopeia’s streams that made me want to start doing it myself. Seeing so many people in this community just doing what they love everyday on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch etc. makes me want to continue my work and seeing everyones amazing creations just inspires me everyday.

6. Plans for 2022?

In 2022 I’m going to mostly focus on my Save File and the builds and sims I have to create for that as well as just having fun and trying to upload as much content as possible and make some new friends through this community.
