We Interviewed Quest Seeker Games

We had the pleasure of interviewing Quest Seeker Games all about what inspires their work and what you can expect from them.

“Hello All Ages of Geek staff!, Quest Seeker Games is composed of three people,
Ignacio Crouzel, Lucas de Hoz and Matias Morales. We are from Argentina and
have been working together for 5 years now! We are working on Rogue Slime for
about 8 months now, but only in our free time, as we also work as full time game
developers.”

Tell us about your games you are working on?

At the moment we are focusing mainly on rogue slime, but every now and then we
like to participate in game jams to polish our skills and have some fun!

What inspires your work?

We grew up playing video games and really love them, so when we decided to start
making games, we wanted to give other people the same experiences and feelings
we had back then, always striving to give people a good time, that is our main
inspiration.

What has been your biggest success as a game dev?

Well, when we were able to live off of game development, that was a huge success
for us!, but as an indie team, we recently participated in the brackeys game jam and
ended up in the 13th place with our entry Believe or die!, that was our first published
project as a team and felt accomplished with the results!

What do you hope to bring to the gaming community through your work?

We want to give people games they can enjoy and have fun with!. Rogue Slime is a
game that should make people happy, challenge them and reward for their smart
thinking and risky decisions, we love this kind of games and we’d be playing it every
day!

Plans for 2023?

We are aiming to release Rogue Slime by the end of 2022 / early 2023, and from
there keep expanding it. As for the moment, the three of us are working full time jobs
and working on the game in our free time only, if it performs well it would be
awesome to start working full time on it!, and maybe start working on it’s sequels /
spinoffs, that would be the dream!

How can people support your work?

We presented ourselves to the public just two weeks ago, so we are still working on
our social media, but for now following us and retweeting would help us a lot!. Also
having feedback and helping us out when the time to make playtests arrives would
be awesome too!

What would you tell someone who wants to do what you do? Any advice?

With today’s technology and tools for making video games, the market is more
competitive than ever before, so if you want your games to be successful, the most
important thing is to be diligent!. When you cannot find the motivation to work on
your game, then break all the components into smaller ones, and start working on
them one by one, at your own pace but never stop!. This can be applied to anything
actually, if you need to learn 3d art, start with the basics and work your way up to
something you feel proud of, and eventually you’ll succeed!. The secret is to work
diligently, and to feel good about your work. Good luck!
