We Interviewed 88Riddles

We had the pleasure of interviewing 88Riddles all about their work!

1. How long have you been involved with the TTRPG community?

I’ve been playing off and on for almost 40 years now, going back to the 80’s playing the Basic Box in the library at lunch time.

2. What is the best part about TTRPGs?

I like that there is truly no limit to what a game can be through this collaborative process of gathering around a table and telling stories with each other.

3. Tell us about your Dice Boxes?

I started off just painting my own and showing them off. At the time I had a few chests from Elderwood Academy. With some inside help and encouragement from Norse Foundry I began working directly with Elderwood and that eventually expanded into working with other companies like Talon and Claw, Cryptic Creative, and Works of Whimsy. Now it’s basically a full time gig.

4. Do you have any Original Characters?

Oh I’ve had soooo many over the years (originally there weren’t things like pre-gens that I can recall to pick from) Two of my most recent has been a Lupine Druid and a Construct Ranger in Pathfinder, my Colonial Marine “Spike” in our current Alien game and I’m building a new one for a Shadowrun game we are about to start. But my all time favorite was Logan, my quarter elf Bard way back when 2nd edition had just been released. I’ll always love him.

5. Plans for this year?

I got a little crazy last year with trying out too many things in various directions and this year I’m more focused on just sticking to designs and painting and really perfecting that combo in ways that I have yet to demonstrate.

6. Where can people support your work!

I have a variety of stores, Etsy, Society6, RedBubble, TeePublic, Displate and KoFi, so I’m pretty all over the place with my designs and the products you can find them on. I also stream on the Norse Foundry twitch channel every Thursday where I demonstrate some of my painting techniques and just chat with fans (not to mention we do giveaways and auctions of one of kind dice vaults) SUPPORT THEM HERE
