The Sims Feature: Golyhawhaw

We intereviewed Golyhawhaw all about their work!

1. How long have you been playing The Sims?

I have been playing The Sims ever since the first game. I’d say about 16-17 years or so.

2. Which game is your favorite?

The Sims 2 is definitely my favourite one of the series. It’s actually the only one I genuinely play. I have a lot of nostalgia and overall preferences that make the game perfect for me. And with the story progression mod being in development, it only makes things more entertaining.

3. What are some of your best creations?

I would say I have a soft spot for my Chroma Eyes. I have used them consistently for such a long time, I genuinely think they are perfect. Another piece of content that I cannot do without is my Classic Physique torso. It is just perfect for me and ticks all boxes I need when it comes to the body types of my sims.

4. What would you tell someone who wants to do what you do?

I just tell them to experiment and practice. It is very simple. For example, I get a lot of queries from people who are stuck and then they ask me to complete the content for them. Okay…sure, but that is not how you improve. You need to spend the time overcoming obstacles in order for you to successfully be able to create the content you desire. Just be patient with yourself and consistent. It will eventually become second nature.

5. What are your plans for 2022?

My plans for 2022, geez. Content wise? I would love to create awesome male hairs. I am still learning, and it will take a lot of practice. I would also like to create animations/machinima. It has always been a wild interest of mine. I need to put my YouTube channel to use.
