One Piece – Set Sail for the Final Arc

One Piece is a fantastic pirate adventure where bandits sail the seven seas looking for the greatest treasure hidden to all mankind. One Piece was originally created by manga artist Eiicho Oda back in the year 1997. Over the past several decades One Piece has made history across the platforms of manga,anime, merchandise and several other mediums. The popular property has reached global recognition and amassed a huge fan base becoming one of the top anime’s of all time. 

Now, the epic story that has fans hooked for all these years is coming to a close. Eiicho Oda, the creator of One Piece, tells in an interview about his plans for the beloved series.  

“…headed toward the upcoming final arc.”

One Piece centers on pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his crew including Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Tony Tony Chopper and many more. Together these characters make up the famous crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates.

The veteran manga artist was very short but made it clear with the direction of the story. In another statement Eiicho lays out the time frame it would take to make the final moves for Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. 

“…wants to end [the One Piece story] in five years.”  

Luffy and his friends have encountered and battled numerous enemies from Gods, Rouge Pirates, and governments. One Piece is a fresh take on the pirate genre by bringing forth supernatural elements as Luffy and a handful of other characters possess superhuman abilities by the legendary Devil Fruits. A fruit once consumed grants a person superhuman attributes varying from fire, elasticity, light and several other super powers. 

Follow One Piece as the Straw Hat Pirates continue to make waves as the journey comes closer to the inevitable end to a legacy.
