Karakai Jozu No Takagi-San: Reminding Us of Childhood

Remember how awkward we were when we were in middle school. Just starting to realize that the opposite gender wasn’t as disgusting as we thought, when we first started developing crushes, and figuring out our evolving bodies? Ahhhh good times.

Karakai Jozu No Takagi-San is a great feel good anime that reminds us of our youth. Centered around two characters, Nishikata and Takagi, the anime essentially shows us the interaction between the two of them. Takagi always teases Nishikata and gets him in trouble while Nishikata tries to find games that he can compete with Takagi and win.

Because we are looking from the outside, us as the viewers see that Takagi has a crush on Nishikata and she does make it pretty blatantly obvious. The only reason why nothing progresses is because they are in middle school.

If you are looking for an anime that is very light hearted and nothing too intense, it’s definitely a good watch in my opinion. So far 2 seasons have been released with Season 3 just airing earlier this year. It’s a feel good anime that reminds us what it was like being in middle school.
